Admissions
Choosing a school for a child is one of the most important decisions parents make. The school – its teachers, curriculum, educational philosophy, and values both explicit and implicit – will affect the child’s day-to-day life. It will help shape the child’s personality, view of life, behavior, and destiny as an adult. And it will also deeply affect the lives of the parents and the life of the family as a whole.

Step One: Get On The Waiting List
Urban Sprouts accepts enrollments year-round, but there is a wait for all age groups. Click the green waiting list button at the top of the page to join. We encourage joining as soon as possible due to the extensive wait time. Tours are not scheduled unless a space is available, but you can take a peek inside by viewing our video here.
Step Two: Check In With Us
After joining the waiting list, email us at info@urbansproutscdc.org with any questions or to receive an update on the current wait time.
Step Three: Notification of Acceptance
Families are notified as spaces become available. Enrollment is first-come, first-serve from the waiting list. Reserved spaces are available for our Early Head Start, Head Start, and WASHU partnership programs. Priority is given to foster children and, on a case-by-case basis, to siblings of current families. If a space isn't immediately available, your child will remain on the waiting list.
